This picturesque oak was located in Valmiera district, Vecate municipality. It was sacred tree for pagans. Tutere oak was one of the most popular trees in Latvia, girth of its trunk was 8,5 m. It was considered then to be the oldest and largest oak in Latvia. Died in storm in 1967.
